KONTINENT MEDIA SPONSORS DUETS in CONCERT “CLASSICAL MUSIC at ITS BEST!”

March 20, 2011, Northfield, IL, Kontinent Media sponsors Duets in Concert “Classical Music at ITS Best!” An event presented by the Lisker Music Foundation included internationally acclaimed violinists David Lisker and Bela Horvath and joined by the sensational pianist Yana Reznin. The concert featured masterpieces from the newly released album “Duets”.

The concert at the Christian Heritage Academy was attended by over 600 enthralled audiences. Many that I had a chance to speak to prior and post the concert expressed their excitement about having an opportunity to listen to above musicians. The greatness of the musician is not just measured by their ability to play their notes, but by also how they captivate their audience by the showmanship and ability to transport its audiences to some distant magical place away from the everyday toils and troubles. I would venture to say that they accomplished just that. To this day, those in attendance thank me for publicizing this concert and reaching all the remote places; thereby presenting them with an opportunity to attend.

Select guests were invited to attend post performance reception with the musicians. It was there that our market development director for Kontinent Media, Leonard Mogul had an opportunity to speak with the musicians about their future plans. David shared with him how he plans on developing new and exciting projects such as integration of different music genres from Latin music to tango. Yana was eager to share with me her new start-up a nonprofit organization that aims to bring concerts to alternative places, enabling to create an unforgettable experience for some regions otherwise deprived of classical music. The reception was drawing to an end and finally I caught up with Bela. To my question about what playing means to him. He simply remarked that playing for me is like water“. He likewise told me that he teaches violin in NY. A special appreciation is extended to the Grand Piano Haus (Skokie) for their sponsorship and assistance with making this concert happen.
