May 5, 2011, Skokie, IL, Kontinent Media attends the Illinois Holocaust Museum Reception with the ADL Leaders United. The reception presented an opportunity for community leaders to building mutual respect for each other’s diverse backgrounds, understanding, cultural awareness, and appreciation in business, education, religion and society. The reception took place in the Museum’s Hall of Reflection and greeted by the executive director, Richard S. Hirschbaut and Leaders United Board Members. Attendees were also treated to a private tour of two dynamic exhibits at the museum. Toured exhibit included Beyond Swastika and Jim Crow that tell the story of Jewish refugee professors at historically black colleges and universities. As well as an exhibit entitled Legacy of Absence Gallery that features a contemporary artistic response to genocides and other atrocities, including the Holocaust, the Atlantic slave trade, Cambodia, Rwanda, Argentina, and the Soviet Gulag.

The Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, tells the story of the Holocaust through richly designed, interactive exhibitions that will both move and inspire. The Museum dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Holocaust by honoring the memories of those who were lost and by teaching universal lessons that combat hatred, prejudice and indifference. The museum fulfills its mission through the exhibition, preservation and interpretation of its collections and through education programs and initiatives that foster the promotion of human rights and the elimination of genocide.

Leonard Mogul, market development director for Kontinent Media remarked, “We were honored to be invited to this special event as a representative of the Russian community.” He further added, “if you have not visited the museum yet, you should come and honor those who have been sensesly slained, and to keep the past alive.
