KONTINENT MEDIA ATTENDS CLERK DOROTHY BROWN SALUTES OUTSTANDING WOMEN IN NONPROFITS DURING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION

March 23, 2011, Chicago, IL. – Kontinent Media as a representative of the Russian Community was invited by the office of the Honorable Dorothy Brown, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County to attend a Women’s History Month Celebration honoring 50 outstanding women in nonprofits in the Chicago-land area. The event was likewise, hosted with the assistance of Chase Women of Color Employee Networking Group.
The event included a special guest appearance by President of Cook County Board of Commissioners Toni Preckwinkle and Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez. Ms. Tonya Francisco, anchor for CLTV Chicago, served as mistress of ceremonies.

The event was attended by many prominent leaders and supporters. Several organizations donated awards that were presented to the honorees.

Leonard Mogul, market development director for Kontinent Media, had a chance to briefly speak with the Honorable Dorothy Brown. The Honorable Dorothy Brown expressed her excitement about this wonderful opportunity to honor 50 outstanding women, whom give selflessly to their community often for a minimum rewards, but a feeling that they are helping to make their community a better place one step at a time. She also remarked that her office hosts a similar event annually to recognize outstanding people for their involvement in various disciplines and vocations. She further stated that her office, likewise holds criminal record expungement clinics as well as many other events. Leonard Mogul, remarked that “it was truly an honor to be invited to a Women’s History Months Celebration. The office of Honorable Dorothy Brown, does go above and beyond in order to ensure that the “silent heroes” of today are honored for their outstanding dedication to their communities. ”

The program was presented in conjunction with the Clerk’s Office’s Women’s Advisory Committee and the Chase Women of Color Employee Networking Group. The program took place at Chase Auditorium, Chicago on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.
